First Student is hiring Part Time School Bus Drivers in Absecon, NJ. You will start mornings with student pickups and return them home in the afternoon, with field trips and events possible. No experience is required as training is provided to help you become a safe, professional driver.

The role offers a CDL hourly rate with training pay, comprehensive benefits, a 401(k) with match, and a flexible AM/PM schedule across 540 locations in the U.S. & Canada.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
• Part-time schedule with flexibility; no nights or summers required.
• Training and guidance provided to become a professional driver.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus and ensure safety at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues promptly.
• Keep the bus clean and sanitary; follow traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays or behavior.
• Demonstrate customer service and leadership with students and families.
