Job summary

First Student, Inc. Englewood, NJ is hiring part-time experienced School Bus Drivers. You will start mornings with student pickup and transport them home in the afternoons, with additional hours for field trips and events.

Training is provided to help you become a safe, professional driver. This role offers a part-time, flexible schedule with split AM/PM routes; 20 guaranteed hours per week and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance and a 401(k) with match.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
• Part-time schedule with mornings/afternoons; summers off not guaranteed.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, emergency exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service.
