Sherwood School District 88J is seeking a reliable School Bus Driver in Sherwood, Oregon. The role requires operating school buses on regular routes and field trips, ensuring safety, and maintaining vehicle readiness.

The ideal candidate will have an Oregon CDL Type B with endorsements, a School Bus Driver certificate, and a high school diploma. Training is provided, with benefits and a supportive team environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Meet physical and mental standards to perform bus duties.
• Oregon CDL Type B with passenger, air brake and school bus endorsements required.
• Oregon School Bus Drivers’ Certificate required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Willingness to attend trainings and workshops.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff.
• Respect for diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect buses for safety, cleanliness and operating condition.
• Report safety hazards and student/parent concerns.
• Maintain vehicle records and clean driving history per ODE requirements.
• Operate bus legally and follow district policies.
• Assist students with loading/unloading and ensure safety.
• Monitor passengers and enforce safety during transit.
• Report incidents and coordinate with supervisor for resolutions.
• After 90 days, may volunteer for field trips.
