Job summary

Southeast Delco School District is seeking a Bus Aide for a part-time role based at the Bus Depot in Folcroft, PA. The position supports the Transportation Director and a 10-month calendar, starting immediately.

The ideal candidate will assist a driver with loading/unloading, secure wheelchairs, and monitor student safety during transport. High school diploma and willingness to work outdoors in varied weather are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with school-aged children desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist driver in loading/unloading disabled students and use lift as needed.
• Secure wheelchairs and check adjustments during trip.
• Secure ambulatory students in seats and monitor safety.
• Follow procedures for medical emergencies and student safety.
• Ensure student restraint devices are properly used while bus is in motion.
• Attend in-service workshops and department meetings as scheduled.
