The Northwestern Illinois Association (NIA) is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year in Rockford, IL. The role offers 180 days per year at 7.5 hours per day with a salary range from $63,580.83 to $119,211.31 depending on experience, serving K-2 autism and life skills classrooms at Cherry Valley Elementary School.

Direct therapy, collaboration with school staff, and IEP participation are core duties.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Illinois School Board of Education Professional Educator’s License with Speech-Language Pathology Endorsement.
• Open to helping with licensure if certified by another state.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in accordance with their IEPs.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to support students' communication development.
• Maintain accurate records of services, assessments, and interventions.
• Participate in IEP meetings to ensure appropriate accommodations and progress.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices.
• Provide access to equipment and testing materials as needed.
