Job summary

EDU Healthcare is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services during the second semester while a staff member is on leave. The role supports students with speech and language needs in a collaborative school-based environment.

The candidate will evaluate and diagnose disorders, develop and implement IEPs, and provide direct therapy in individual and group settings. Collaboration with educators and ongoing professional development are essential components.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active SLP license in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain before start)
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred; CFY candidates encouraged to apply
• Experience working with school-aged children is preferred
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Knowledge of IEP processes, therapy documentation, and educational service delivery

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
• Provide direct therapy services to students individually and in groups
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student goals
• Maintain detailed records and progress reports per policies
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on goals and progress
• Stay current with best practices and ongoing professional development
