Job summary

Cherry Health is seeking a part-time outpatient therapist for Union High School Health Center in Grand Rapids, MI. You will provide individual therapy to students onsite three days a week (Mon, Tue, Fri, 7:30 a.m.–4 p.m.) with no on-call schedule.

Spanish bilingual preferred and you may facilitate groups as needed. The role emphasizes evidence-based practices, collaboration with school and community resources, and adherence to organizational ethics and licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed social worker, professional counselor, or psychologist in Michigan
• CAADC certification or eligibility preferred
• Experience in mental health/substance use assessments and treatment a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, family, or couple therapy using MI, CBT, DBT within school-based setting
• Coordinate with community providers to arrange services
• Maintain timely documentation meeting CARF/CMH standards
• Assess/diagnose psychopathology per DSM, develop measurable treatment plans
• Provide crisis interventions, safety planning, and referrals as needed
• Collaborate with Billing/Finance to resolve authorizations and ensure uninterrupted care
