Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking part-time School-Based Mental Health Professionals to support K-12 students. You will provide individual and group counseling, collaborate with teachers and parents, and participate in weekly supervision toward licensure.

Qualifications

• Active license or associate license in North Carolina (LCMHC/LCMSW/LMFT and equivalents)
• Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field
• Experience providing individual and group therapy
• Comfort with crisis assessment and evidence-based modalities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to complete state background checks and have transportation between sites

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling for K–12 students
• Respond with crisis intervention and risk assessments
• Assess and evaluate students' mental health needs
• Design and carry out treatment plans using evidence-based approaches
• Collaborate with school teams, families, and administrators on support plans
• Maintain compliant clinical notes and treatment plans per FERPA and regulations
• Travel between school sites as assigned
