Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy is seeking a Child/Adolescent Therapist to provide psychotherapy for clients in both school and office settings. The role involves assessing clients, determining treatment plans, and delivering clinical interventions while coordinating with families and educational partners.

The position emphasizes collaboration with treatment teams and school partners to support client progress and well-being, with a focus on community-centered care. Evening availability is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Human Services and 1 year of care delivery experience.
• Pre-Employment Drug Screen
• Access to reliable transportation
• Act 33 – Child Abuse History Clearance
• Act 34 – Criminal Record Check
• Act 114 – FBI Fingerprint Criminal Background Check

Responsibilities

• Provide psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and clinical interventions for clients and parents/guardians when applicable.
• Complete biopsychosocial assessments to determine client’s strengths, needs, and diagnosis.
• Complete documentation within the electronic health record in congruence with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Engage with parents/guardians to strategize methods of supporting client goal progress and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with members of the treatment team, school partners, community members, and third-party providers.
• Attend and participate in clinical, administrative, and community partner meetings.
