The Portsmouth School Department is seeking a General School Aide for Melville Elementary School in Portsmouth, RI. This part-time position runs during the 180-day school year with shifts roughly 9am-1:30pm or 10:40am-3:30pm, under supervision of the building principal.

Responsibilities include monitoring student behavior on the playground and during lunch, supporting classrooms, assisting nurses, and handling general clerical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• High School or Trade School diploma/degree required.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa in United States required.

Responsabilités

• Monitor student activities on playground and during lunch.
• Assist teachers in classroom activities and nurse's office duties.
• Supervise students in cafeteria, playground, and hallways.
• Perform general clerical tasks as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
