Job summary

Sylvan Learning Center is seeking a part-time SAT Math and Reading Tutor to help high school students prepare for the SAT. The role involves delivering structured instruction in SAT Math and SAT Reading/Writing, with focus on test-taking strategies and time management.

Position requires availability during Mon/Tue/Thu 3:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m., Fri 3:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m., and Sat 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Tuition is paid hourly, and instructors follow Sylvan’s established curriculum and materials.

Qualifications

• SAT tutoring experience preferred.
• Ability to teach SAT Math and Reading.
• Available during listed hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide study-skills and homework support individually and in small groups.
• Teach organization, time-management, note-taking, and test-prep strategies.
• Help students plan assignments, projects, and study schedules.
• Support students with completing and understanding homework.
• Follow Sylvan’s curriculum and preplanned lessons.
• Document student progress and generate instructional notes.
• Use tablets and other instructional technology as required.
