Job summary

Hanover County Government is seeking a Same Day Access Clinician to provide same-day behavioral health assessments and connect residents to ongoing services. This part-time, benefited position offers a 4-day work week (28–32 hours) and opportunities to enhance diagnostic, clinical decision-making and therapy skills.

The role involves work in outpatient, home, or community settings with supervision and a structured career ladder.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a field leading to clinical licensure.
• Six months of clinical experience required or equivalent training.
• Licensure as LCSW or LPC preferred within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial screenings to determine service needs and appropriateness.
• Provide diagnostic assessments and develop service plans.
• Deliver individual, family and group therapy.
• Provide outreach and crisis intervention.
• Coordinate treatment plans and case management.
• Complete paperwork and maintain files as required.
• Participate in community education and consultations.
• May work outside regular hours.
