The Salon Receptionist position is a part-time position filled asneeded during the academic year. The Salon Receptionist is a memberof an educational salon which serves the needs of the community.This position reports to the Department Head, Applied Technologyand Professional Services and is directly supervised by theCosmetology Program Coordinator in the daily functions of a busysalon.
Performs administrative dutiesnecessary for the efficient operation of the Salon, including, butnot limited to, checking clients in and out, answering andresponding to telephone calls, making appointments, acceptingpayments for services rendered, and working in an online clientscheduling application. Provides excellent customer service tostudents, staff, and visitors. Possesses the ability to workefficiently with minimal supervision and exercise discretionconcerning confidential matters; operates office equipment such ascomputer, scanner, and photocopying machine; responsible forknowing and conforming to all safety practices and regulations thatapply to this specific area and position. Unsafe conditions shouldbe reported to the immediate supervisor and to the Pensacola StateCollege Police Department / Public Safety; and performs otherduties as assigned.
Graduation from high school or GEDequivalency, and two years secretarial experience, demonstratedcomputer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite(including Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, etc.) in a networkedoffice setting, and internet navigation. Successful results of acriminal background check are required.
Hourly Rate: $15.72 (25 hours per week)
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm
