Job summary

Norman's Hallmark in Cross Point Shopping Center, Hagerstown, MD, is seeking a Part Time Sales Associate. You will help customers, maintain displays, and learn our register system to ensure a friendly, efficient shopping experience.

Basic qualifications include being 16 years or older, flexible scheduling including holidays and weekends, and strong math skills. We offer a 25% merchandise discount, flexible schedule, and incentive contests throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes events, holidays, evenings, and weekends.
• Strong aptitude for basic math functions including percentages and general arithmetic.
• Ability to continuously stand/walk; frequently push/pull; occasionally bend/stoop/crawl/reach above shoulders/kneel; climb a ladder, and carry up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Infuse our Customer CARE program into the culture of the store in which you drive retail sales by genuinely connecting with the customer, building relationships, and earning her business.
• Belief that the customer always comes first and is the most important individual to our business.
• Meet store specific Crown Rewards program enrollment goals on a consistent basis.
• Ability to learn and be efficient with our register system to ensure a pleasant point of sale experience for our customers. Accountable for cash register accuracy and basic mathematical skills.
• Learn and utilize outstanding selling skills during customer interactions to build sales and drive customer satisfaction.
• Proactively learn retail product knowledge for all merchandise to use when selling to the customer.
• Maintain and restock displays as directed by store management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
