Job summary

Norman’s Hallmark in Severna Park, MD is seeking a Part Time Sales Associate to help customers celebrate moments with care on the sales floor. You will be the first point of contact, learn our products, and contribute to a welcoming, team-focused store atmosphere.

Responsibilities include assisting customers with the CARE program, supporting Crown Rewards enrollments, handling register transactions accurately, restocking displays, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

They are most accessible to the consumer and are the primary resource of knowledge on the sales floor. Sales Associate Key Responsibilities

• Infuse our Customer CARE program into the culture of the store in which you drive retail sales by genuinely connecting with the customer, building relationships, and earning her business.
• Belief that the customer always comes first and is the most important individual to our business.
• Meet store specific Crown Rewards program enrollment goals on a consistent basis.
• Ability to learn and be efficient with our register system to ensure a pleasant point of sale experience for our customers. Accountable for cash register accuracy and basic mathematical skills.
• Learn and utilize outstanding selling skills during customer interactions to build sales and drive customer satisfaction.
• Proactively learn retail product knowledge for all merchandise to use when selling to the customer.
• Maintain and restock displays as directed by store management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the business, including events, holidays, evenings, and weekends.
• Strong aptitude for basic math functions including percentages and general arithmetic.
• Ability to continuously stand/walk; frequently push/pull; occasionally bend/stoop/crawl/reach above shoulders/kneel; climb a ladder, and carry up to 40 pounds, e.g., fixture parts and cartons.
