Job summary

Norman’s Hallmark is seeking a friendly Part-time Sales Associate at The Avenue at White Marsh, Nottingham, MD to deliver a caring customer experience and help drive store goals.

You will learn product knowledge, enroll customers in Crown Rewards, operate the register, and maintain displays. Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Flexible schedule including events, holidays, evenings, and weekends.
• Strong math skills and ability to perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Infuse CARE program into customer interactions to drive sales.
• Enroll customers in Crown Rewards and assist with store goals.
• Operate the register accurately and maintain cash handling basics.
• Develop selling skills and product knowledge to assist customers.
• Maintain and restock displays as directed by management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Our Sales Associates are the key contributors in providing a ‘caring team’ atmosphere for our customers. They are most accessible to the consumer and are the primary resource of knowledge on the sales floor. We expect our Sales Associates to show initiative, be a team player, and exemplify excellence during every aspect of the customer experience.

Sales Associate Key Responsibilities:

• Infuse our Customer CARE program into the culture of the store in which you drive retail sales by genuinely connecting with the customer, building relationships, and earning her business.
• Belief that the customer always comes first and is the most important individual to our business.
• Meet store specific Crown Rewards program enrollment goals on a consistent basis.
• Ability to learn and be efficient with our register system to ensure a pleasant point of sale experience for our customers. Accountable for cash register accuracy and basic mathematical skills.
• Learn and utilize outstanding selling skills during customer interactions to build sales and drive customer satisfaction.
• Proactively learn retail product knowledge for all merchandise to use when selling to the customer.
• Maintain and restock displays as directed by store management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
