Job summary

LoveShackFancy in Wilmette, IL is seeking a front-facing retail role focused on client service, in-store operations, and visual merchandising. You will greet customers, support the sales team, and ensure smooth stock movement and event setup to bring the brand’s whimsical aesthetic to life.

This non-selling role emphasizes customer care, merchandising standards, and efficient stock management across daily store operations, including events and wrap desk duties.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge all customers with courteous, knowledgeable service.
• Assist the sales team on transactions, including pulling, packing and transferring merchandise as needed.
• Move sizes and go-backs between the sales floor and stockroom and maintain order in fitting areas.
• Monitor and maintain daily visual merchandising standards; ensure correct placement of merchandise throughout the floor.
• Ensure representation of all merchandise, styles and sizes on the floor and assist with stock duties including shipments, markdowns and transfers.
• Follow POS procedures for client capture and product availability; keep wrap desk neat and stocked with supplies.
• Answer the phone and direct calls to the appropriate person; assist with in-store and off-site events, including setup and breakdown.
• Assist stock team with tagging, organizing and processing incoming shipments.

Responsibilities:

Support Selling & Client Service *(this is a non-selling role)

• Greet and acknowledge all customers. Provide courteous and knowledgeable customer service.
• Assist the sales team on transactions. To include pulling, packing and transferring of merchandise where needed. Running sizes and go backs between the sales floor and stockroom.
• Remove unwanted merchandise from fitting rooms and ensure all merchandise is placed back onto the floor.

Visual Merchandising

• Monitor and maintain visual merchandising standards on a daily basis. Fold, straighten, fill-in and ensure correct placement of merchandise throughout the day.
• Ensure representation of all merchandise, styles & sizes, are on the floor.
• Assist with stock duties. To include shipments, markdowns and transfers.

Operations & Stock

• Follow all procedures in the POS system for assisting sales. This includes 100% client capture & checking availability of product.
• Keep wrap desk neat, organized and maintained with all supplies throughout the day.
• Answer the phone and direct calls to the appropriate person.
• Help with events both in store and off site. To include set up, breakdown and overall organization.
• Assist stock associate with tagging, organizing, and processing incoming shipment.
