Job summary

Ernesta is seeking a part-time Sales and Design Consultant (Design Assistant) for our upcoming Southport Corridor showroom. You will educate customers on rug selection, space planning, and materials while delivering a high-touch buying experience.

In this dual-role, you will drive sales through follow-up, provide design expertise, and help maintain a welcoming, on-brand showroom. Weekend availability is required, including Saturdays and Sundays, with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a consumer-facing role.
• Must be able to work Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays.
• Delights in communicating and building trust with customers, self-motivated and empathetic.
• Proficient with online tools and 2D/3D software; comfortable with Zoom and Google Suite.
• Strong time management and organizational skills with accountability.
• Willing to wear many hats and improve internal processes.
• Role based in showroom with flexible weekend/holiday hours.

Responsibilities

• Set the industry standard for customer experience and sales.
• Drive sales through customer follow-up and outreach.
• Deliver design and product expertise to customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized showroom that aligns with the brand.
• Provide high-quality, personalized experiences via in-person and digital channels.
• Advise on floor plans, material selection, and rug measurements.
• Resolve order-related inquiries, tracking, and delivery logistics.
• Learn CAD/Adobe tools to help customers visualize spaces.
• Contribute feedback to improve internal processes.
