Job summary

Germantown Academy Sapling Center in Fort Washington, PA seeks a Part-Time Rotating Assistant Teacher to support early childhood education for infants to 4-year-olds. The role offers a 30-hour work week, with a consistent 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

schedule and full benefits. Starting immediately, compensation is $20 per hour. The assistant helps implement curriculum, maintain daily routines, and fosters a warm, inclusive learning environment aligned with Sapling Center’s mission and PA state

Qualifications

• Associate degree in early childhood education or related field or CDA credential preferred.
• High school diploma required.
• Two years of documented experience with preschool-age children.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong collaboration, organization, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong work ethic, attendance and punctuality.
• Emotional intelligence: warm, kind, flexible, patient and empathetic.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teachers in planning and implementing the curriculum.
• Provide daily care and support classroom routines and activities.
• Prepare materials and establish daily classroom routines.
• Lead small groups and deliver components of the program.
• Observe and document children’s learning progress and communicate with the Lead Teacher.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Participate in professional development and staff meetings.
