Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Room Attendant to work with the Housekeeping team, cleaning guest rooms and public areas to ensure guest satisfaction across our properties. The role may involve laundry tasks and occasional kitchen area cleaning, with focus on timely, thorough service.

Strong English communication and basic math and reading skills are preferred. Mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays may be required, with competitive pay and benefits available at Sonesta.

Qualifications

• Some previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Background from the extended stay industry preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English is preferred; other languages beneficial.
• Basic reading, writing and mathematical abilities are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Sonesta Service in all guest interactions according to G.U.E.S.T. standards.
• Respond to guest complaints and ensure corrective action.
• Clean and service assigned rooms or areas per brand standards; may include cleaning kitchen areas and laundry tasks.
• Notify supervisor when service is completed and report rooms unable to be serviced.
• Operate washers and dryers in the laundry when assigned; handle linens and report damages.
• Minimize waste of supplies and assist with deep cleaning projects as needed.
• Report repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor; handle lost and found items.
• Promote teamwork and coordination with other shifts and management.
• Comply with health and safety laws; perform other duties as assigned.
