HireArt is seeking a motivated entry-level Robot Service Technician Assistant in Harrisonburg, VA. This part-time, weekend-based contract role supports daily operations, maintenance, and preparations of our delivery robots to keep fleets deployment-ready.

The position offers hands-on experience in robotics and electro-mechanical assembly, with training provided and opportunities to grow in a rapidly expanding industry. Onsite work only.

Qualifications

• Comfortable working in varied field environments.
• Ability to lift and move items over 50 pounds safely.
• Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• General computer literacy.
• Introductory background or interest in electric vehicle (EV) service, automotive repair, or electronics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare robots for the shift: Ensure all hardware and software are ready for daily deployment.
• Put robots/batteries on chargers for the night: Manage power cycles to ensure maximum fleet readiness.
• Cleaning robots: Maintain physical appearance and protect sensitive external hardware.
• Perform mechanical repairs: Assist with and execute basic repairs on the robot fleet.
• Perform service campaigns: Help implement widespread hardware or software updates across the fleet.
• Assist remote support coordinators: Act as the hands-on field contact for the remote tracking team.
• Perform calibrations and wheel alignment: Ensure sensors and chassis components are properly tuned for safe navigation.
• Keep workshop clean and tidy: Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workspace for the entire technical team.
