Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Roaming Patrol in Boise, ID for a part-time schedule. You will provide customer service, monitor and patrol sites, control access, and respond to incidents while maintaining a professional presence on site.

The role emphasizes unarmed patrols at utilities and other facilities, with shift schedules and a pay rate of $17.00 per hour. A background check and drug screen are required, along with licensing as applicable by state law.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to assigned locations, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence at the location.
