Job summary

Lee County Tax Collector is seeking a part-time Road Test Examiner in Fort Myers to support new driver testing while helping ensure safety. The role offers flexible part-time hours with a Monday–Friday schedule and weekends off, and compensation starts at $18.38 per hour.

You will conduct road tests, provide clear guidance, score performance, and share results with applicants. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, are at least 21, possess a Florida driver’s license, and demonstrate

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; supplemented by customer service or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training and/or experience.
21 years of age or older and driving for four years or more.
Must have and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license.
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Ability to speak and read a foreign language is preferred.

Responsibilities

Ride Along! Conduct road tests and evaluate driving skills and safe driving habits.
Be Their Guide! Give clear, friendly instructions to help customers understand each driving maneuver.
Score the Drive! Evaluate driving performance using established state guidelines.
Share the Results! Professionally explain test results and provide helpful information.
Deliver 5-Star Service! Make every customer feel welcomed, respected, and supported.
