Job summary

Goodwin Living is seeking a Wellness Nurse to monitor the clinical and holistic health of Assisted Living residents, coordinating services and delivering care using the nursing process. The role collaborates with care partners, medication aides, and an interdisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates are graduates of an RN program with Virginia licensure or compact-state eligibility, CPR certified, and with at least 2 years of nursing experience. Night shift; competitive pay with shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an approved RN program.
• Must have current licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia or compact state of residence.
• Prefer a minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• Must have current CPR certification.
• Must possess ability to deal tactfully with residents, staff and family members.

Responsibilities

• Assign tasks to Care Partners and/or Med Techs in accordance with care plans and individual service plans.
• Coordinate communication with the provider and other ancillary services to direct resident care on a designated shift.
• Conduct daily wellness checks to monitor, evaluate and treat residents with changes in condition in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinate resident medical appointments and transportation as requested.
• Provide leadership by being a role model and delivering high quality service to residents, internal customers, and partners/suppliers.

Schedule:

Night shift (11 p.m. to 7 a.m.) Friday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday

Pay:

We offer competitive pay for RN Wellness Nurses ranging from $50 to $52 per hour plus shift differentials!

About the Position

This position is primarily responsible for monitoring the clinical and holistic health of Assisted Living residents, coordinating necessary services, and delivering care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, while maintaining the standards of professional nursing. The Wellness Nurse provides person-centered care in collaboration with care partners, medication aides and interdisciplinary team.

Key Duties

• Assign tasks to Care Partners and/or Med Techs in accordance with care plans and individual service plans.
• Functions as a clinical resource person coordinates communication with the provider and other ancillary services in order to direct resident care on a designated shift.
• Conducts daily wellness checks to monitor, evaluate and treat residents who have had a recent or ongoing change in condition, including collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.
• Coordinates resident medical appointments and transportation as requested.
• Provides leadership by being a role model and providing highest quality service to customers including residents, internal customers, and partners/suppliers.

Job Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an approved RN program.
• Must have current licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia or compact state of residence.
• Prefer a minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• Must have current CPR certification.
• Must possess ability to deal tactfully with residents, staff and family members.
