Job summary

Firelands Regional Medical Center seeks an experienced nursing leader to supervise and coordinate Nursing Services on the designated shift. You will act as a consultant for patient care planning and intervention and represent Nursing Administration on shift.

Responsibilities include staffing adjustments, interdepartmental collaboration, and incident leadership for emergencies. Ohio RN licensure and ACLS are required, with a Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership abilities and patient-care oversight.
• Current ACLS certification required.
• Registered Nurse licensed in Ohio with active credentials.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate Nursing Services on the designated shift.
• Interpret goals and objectives of the nursing department to staff and physicians.
• Use evidence-based practices and nursing standards in assessment, planning, and intervention.
• Serve as expert consultant to charge nurse for assignments and complex patient problems.
• Manage staffing adjustments for each shift and ensure adequate coverage.
• Promote communication across nursing units and with ancillary departments.
• Counsel staff and refer documentation to the Nurse Director as needed.
• Communicate departmental concerns to administrative personnel.
