Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Nursing licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Three to five (3-5) years relevant experience (medical/surgical, critical care/emergency services).
• Current ACLS required.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates Nursing Services on designated shift; consults on patient care planning.
• Supports and interprets the goals of the nursing department to staff and physicians.
• Uses practice standards and evidence‑based care; applies critical thinking in assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating tasks.
• Assesses patient needs and determines placement in collaboration with the charge nurse.
• Acts as expert consultant to the charge nurse for assignments, conflict resolution, and complex patient problems.
• Responsible for staffing adjustments for each shift, including low time.
• Promotes communication between nursing units, ancillary departments, and other resources.
• Counsels personnel and notifies Nurse Director as needed.
• Communicates departmental concerns to admin; acts as Incident Commander during emergencies until relieved.
• Leads Code Blue and MET teams; represents Administration on weekends and holidays.
• Regularly informs Nursing Administration of progress and changes affecting operations.
• Obtains supplies and medical records during non-operational hours.
• Notifies OR staff or Cath lab during emergencies; informs Administrator‑on‑Call.
• Represents FRMC to the community as an ambassador and advocate.
