Job summary

Greencroft Communities in Walnut Creek is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for the second shift in our skilled nursing community. You will provide hands-on nursing care, administer medications and treatments, monitor residents for changes in condition, and supervise CNAs while contributing to a supportive, collaborative team that prioritizes quality resident care and safety.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the care team.
• Strong communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills.
• Passion for caring for older adults.
• Dependable, compassionate and committed to high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on nursing care and build meaningful relationships with residents.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established care plans.
• Monitor residents and respond to changes in condition.
• Supervise CNAs and contribute to a supportive team.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and care planning.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain resident safety and infection prevention and control standards.
• Document care accurately and in a timely manner.
