Job summary
Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs in Fergus Falls is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Fergus Falls Veterans Home. The role includes rotating evening/day shifts (2:00pm-10:30pm and 6:00am-2:30pm) with weekends as assigned and a minimum two-week schedule of 64 hours, plus potential full employer contributions to health and dental benefits.
Qualifications include MN RN license in good standing, ability to obtain licensure if not yet licensed, BLS/CPR certification, and
Qualifications
- Licensed in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions and in good standing.
- If not currently licensed in Minnesota, must obtain licensure by date of hire.
- Future RNs within six months of graduating and taking NCLEX-RN may apply; contingent offers after degree and NCLEX-RN.
- Current BLS/CPR certification through AHA or Red Cross or ability to be certified by date of hire.
- Effective communication to provide and follow instructions and teach skills to residents.
- Computer skills to complete electronic charting, specifically in PointClickCare.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents.
- Monitor care delivered by LPNs and CNAs in accordance with standards.
- Support clinical operations and ensure resident safety.
