Job summary
Aura Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to provide perioperative and general nursing care across facilities, with travel as needed.
The role operates 5a–11a on Mon, Wed, Fri with call responsibilities, delivering safe, patient-centered care using the nursing process. Ideal candidates hold an IL RN license, BSN preferred, and have 1 year of relevant PACU/ICU/Behavioral Health experience.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved nursing school; BSN preferred.
- Current IL RN license.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience; PACU/ICU/Behavioral Health experience preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS & PALS preferred.
- CPAN/CAPA certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care across diverse patient populations using the nursing process.
- Involve patients and families in care planning while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Take responsibility and make decisions based on therapeutic relationships and patient outcomes.
- Supervise and guide unlicensed nursing staff in interdisciplinary care.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Deliver perioperative care for patients undergoing Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT).
- Manage Phase 1 & 2 peri-anesthesia care from Operating Rooms and support areas.
