Job summary

Qualifications

• BSN degree is required for the role.
• Active Illinois RN license and BLS certification are required.
• ACLS is required for ER; additional ER certifications are a plus.
• ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within 3 years is acceptable.
• PACU/ICU/ED experience is preferred for the position.

Responsibilities

• Assess and record patient status on admission/point of care.
• Organize health data to support accurate care plans.
• Identify problems needing immediate attention and act.
• Document diagnoses and plans of care clearly.
• Develop and discuss discharge plans with patient/family.
• Provide patient education based on evidence-based practice.
• Coordinate with care teams in multidisciplinary meetings.
