Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a part-time, day shift position in Hackensack, NJ. The nurse will work within an interdisciplinary team to provide direct patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.

Requirements include NJ RN licensure, BLS/CPR certification within 60 days, and a minimum of six months nursing experience or completion of the Nurse Residency Program. National certification in specialty is preferred when eligible.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in New Jersey.
• BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association) within 60 days of hire.
• Six months of nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age- and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive care plan.
• Communicate and coordinate the plan of care with the healthcare team.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient, family, and healthcare team.
• Document care using Point-of-Care electronic systems.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning technology.
