Job summary

Franciscan Health Center in Duluth, MN is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time morning shift in Long-Term Care. The position offers a 0.4 FTE schedule, Day Shift 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with every other weekend rotation, and pay of $45.00 per hour.

You will assess and plan resident care, administer medications, document in EMR, and collaborate with a dedicated care team. Minimum Minnesota RN license and CPR required; long-term care experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating as part of a team.
• Long-term care experience is preferred but not required.
• Accrued Paid Leave Time (PLT).
• Opportunity to pick up additional shifts based on staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and other nursing interventions per physician orders and facility policies.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate concerns to providers and the interdisciplinary team.
• Supervise and support nursing assistants and other care staff to ensure quality resident care.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Respond to emergencies and changes in resident status appropriately.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, infection prevention practices, and facility policies.
• Participate in resident care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Promote a safe, respectful environment for residents, families, and coworkers.
