Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to coordinate nursing care for patients, provide education to patients and families, and support transitions of care across the continuum. The RN will operate within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, showing leadership in precepting and quality improvement.

Required are an active RN license and BLS; degree in nursing and potential 1-year RN/LPN experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Student or Graduate of a nursing program.
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
• Maintains current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or related experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Provide patient and family education and transitions of care.
• Support nursing practice across settings within Mayo Clinic model.
• Demonstrate leadership through preceptor roles and quality improvement.
• Adhere to credentialing and licensing requirements as applicable.
