Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse to join Highlands 6 North, a 24-bed acute care unit at UAB Hospital- Highlands. You will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for medical inpatients, coordinating with the health care team and patient families.

Responsibilities include health teaching, data gathering, and ensuring cost-effective, high-quality patient care in collaboration with licensed physicians, psychologists, podiatrist, or dentist as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in Alabama or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Provide health teaching and counseling to patients and families.
• Delegate, coordinate and manage nursing care with the care team.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals for patient outcomes.
