Job summary
BrightStar Care of Denton in Gainesville, TX is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Registered Nurse to care for patients in home health and facility settings. You will educate patients and families, monitor conditions, and administer treatments with minimal supervision.
This position offers a flexible schedule, weekly pay, PPE provided, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for continuing education.
Qualifications
- Texas RN license (current, unrestricted)
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Wound care experience preferred
- IV Skills and Central Line care required
- CPR certification and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- 1 year home health/primary care/health facility experience required; 3–5 years preferred
- Exceptional nursing assessment skills
- Analytic/critical thinker
- Licensed driver with auto insurance
- Ability to work weekends, nights and holidays
- Lift up to 50 pounds
Responsibilities
- Monitor patient condition and assess needs to provide best care
- Perform routine procedures (BP, injections) and document charts
- Adjust and administer medications per physician orders
- Provide urgent medical care in emergencies
- Counsel patient and family through care process and update regularly
- Create a supportive, compassionate environment for patients and families
