Job summary

BrightStar Care of Denton is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a flexible part-time role in Decatur, TX. The RN will educate patients and families, monitor conditions, and administer medications per doctor orders, supporting high-quality home health and facility-based care.

The position requires an active Texas RN license, wound care and IV skills, CPR, and 1+ year in home health or clinic settings. A Bachelor’s in Nursing is preferred; lifts up to 50 lbs and weekend/night availability may be

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN license in Texas.
• Wound care and IV skills experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in a home health agency, primary care clinic, or health facility; three to five years preferred.
• CPR certification and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient conditions and assess their needs.
• Perform routine procedures (e.g., blood pressure measurements, administering injections).
• Adjust and administer medications according to physician orders.
• Provide immediate medical care in emergencies; counsel patients and families throughout the care process.
