Job summary

Copper Hills Youth Center in West Jordan, UT, is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to provide nursing care in a residential setting for adolescents aged 12-17. The role supports safe, therapeutic environments, with flexible PRN shifts and night/weekend differentials.

Ideal candidates hold Utah RN licensure or a multi-state compact license, with 2 years in behavioral health preferred but not required, and must pass background checks and a drug screen. Orientation and mandatory trainings are required.

Qualifications

• Utah RN licensure or multi-state compact license to practice in Utah.
• 2 years' experience in the behavioral health/psychiatric nursing field is preferred, but NOT REQUIRED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age, able to pass a criminal history background check and drug screen.
• Must work 2 shifts every two weeks unless there is no need.
• Must cover 2 call outs in a rolling calendar year and cover either Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day.
• Must be able to attend mandatory new employee orientation and all other required training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing a safe and therapeutic environment for students.
• Initial and ongoing assessment of physical health of students and educating students regarding connection between physical and mental health.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Nursing Department philosophy, and assumes responsibility for maintaining Standards of Nursing Practice and Standards of Care for all patients.
