Job summary

ScanScape is seeking a part-time Retail Scan Associate in Norfolk, VA to visit local stores weekly and scan barcodes on displays and aisles. You will use a mobile app to collect data used to improve product performance for major retailers.

The role requires 18+ with a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, ability to stand and lift up to 25 pounds, and a self-motivated, deadline-driven approach. Flexible hours, paid travel, and 401(k) eligibility are provided.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Visit designated stores weekly to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps.
• Use a downloadable app on your mobile phone to scan barcodes in store locations.
• Provide quantity for about 45% of products scanned.
• Complete Display Scanning across the store, which occurs weekly and may take several hours.
• Support custom projects that add 1–2 hours of work per week per store.
