Job summary

ScanScape is hiring a part-time Retail Scan Associate in Garwood, NJ 07027 to visit local stores, scan barcodes on displays and aisles, and help improve product performance through data collection.

The role offers flexibility with weekly hours (3–6 hours across stores) and occasional 1–2 hours for special projects; eligibility for 401(k) with employer matching and a referral program. Must be 18+, have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned local retailers weekly for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks.
• Scan barcodes in stores on displays and aisles using a mobile app.
• Provide quantity details for about 45% of scanned products.
• Complete in-store data collection within stated deadlines.
• Work with major retailers like Walmart, Kroger, Target, Albertsons and others.
• Coordinate travel to stores as needed.
