Job summary

ScanScape is seeking a part-time Retail Scan Associate in Bloomingdale, IL to perform in-store data collection for multiple retailers. You will scan barcodes using a mobile app, visit several stores each week, and help deliver accurate product data.

The role offers independence, flexible hours, and ongoing weekly activities across grocery, mass, drug, pet, and specialty retailers. The position emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and the stamina to stand and move throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet high, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be deadline-driven and have reliable Wi‑Fi access.
• Must be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned local retailers weekly to scan barcodes on displays and in-aisle locations.
• Use a mobile app to scan barcodes across store sections.
• Provide quantity data for about 45% of scanned products.
• Meet weekly deadlines and complete display scanning for entire stores.
• Engage in optional Custom Projects adding 30 minutes to 2 hours per week per store.
