Qualifications

• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with customers, sales leadership and associates.
• Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Ability to receive feedback and take action when appropriate.
• Able to stand and move about for extended periods of time with only short rest breaks; reach, bend, stoop, etc.
• Available to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with technology.

Responsibilities

• Consistently demonstrate the AEO Customer First selling standards to deliver a positive customer experience and achieve daily sales goals.
• Drive AE brand loyalty through knowledge of loyalty programs and informing customers of each program.
• Use company tools to provide product knowledge and maximize sales.
• Support fellow employees by sharing knowledge and assisting in customer interactions.
• Outfit the customer by suggesting key looks based on individual style.
• Promote awareness of AEO and aerie brands and introduce customers to additional channels.
• Perform register sales transactions quickly and accurately per cash control procedures.
• Restock returned merchandise to correct locations and label damaged items.
• Maintain neat, clean, and organized sales floor, cash wrap, fitting room, and stockroom.
• Handle merchandise from shipment processing to replenishment while following SOPs.
• Resolve customer concerns in line with policy and with store leadership on elevated issues.
• Understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
