Job summary

The Michaels Companies is hiring a Store Sales Manager for our Albuquerque store. You will lead front-end and service operations, drive selling culture, and ensure brand standards are met while achieving sales KPIs.

As MOD on busy shifts, you’ll coach the team, manage POS and Self-Checkout, and oversee events like balloons and birthday programs. This role includes omni-channel support such as BOPIS and Same Day Delivery, with a focus on loyalty enrollment and protection plan adoption.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to coach and develop team members.
• Experience driving customer experience and KPI's.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and company programs.
• Model and coach selling behaviors to improve conversion.
• Provide MOD coverage and maintain store operations.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems.
• Oversee balloons, birthday parties, and in-store programs.
• Promote Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention.
• Drive sales in Knit & Sew Shop and oversee the Cut Bar.
• Manage BOPIS and Same Day Delivery execution.
• Support Custom Framing operations and frame shop coordination.
• Train, coach, and develop team through onboarding.
• Partner on Asset Protection to reduce shrink.
