Job summary

The Salvation Army Orange County's Anaheim (Katella) Store is seeking a Sales Associate/Material Handler to greet donors and customers, stock merchandise, and maintain a clean, organized shopping area. You will handle merchandise, assist donors with receipts, and support POS operations while upholding TSA policies.

Flexible part-time schedules, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a background check are required. Paid time off and employee discounts are offered as part of the benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent completed.
• Able to operate POS/Cash Register and handle cash transactions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors, provide prompt and courteous assistance.
• Stock items and merchandise on sales floor.
• Maintain store and donation area cleanliness and organization.
• Perform cleaning duties as directed by management.
• Follow POS/Cash Register policies and TSA procedures.
• Ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
• Attend monthly store meetings.
• Receive, unload and stock inventory accurately.
• Inspect products for defects and damages for quality assurance.
• Assist donors in removing donated items and provide receipts.
• Sort donated material into proper containers and stack as instructed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
