Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Rochester Hills is seeking a friendly Retail Sales Associate to deliver excellent customer service, keep the store organized, and create a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.

You’ll greet customers, operate the register, balance the till, restock merchandise, maintain neat displays, and work with a team to reach daily sales and production goals. Paid training and ongoing coaching support are provided, with employee discounts available.

Qualifications

• Provide friendly customer service to shoppers and donors.

Location: Rochester MI

Pay: $13.73 - $15.73 per hour

Job Type: Part-time

Schedule: 24 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

What You Need

Required

• Ability to provide friendly customer service

• Reliable attendance and punctuality

• Basic communication and teamwork skills

• Basic math and computer skills

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift

• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day

• High school diploma or currently pursuing

Preferred

• Previous retail, cashier, customer service, or thrift store experience

• Experience using a point of sale system
