Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Detroit is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate to deliver friendly customer service and help create a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.

You will operate the register, balance cash, restock merchandise, and maintain neat displays while supporting a team to meet daily sales goals.

Retail Sales Associate

Location: Detroit MI Pay: $13.73 - $15.73 per hour Job Type: Part-time Schedule: 24 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a friendly, dependable Retail Sales Associate to provide great customer service, keep the store " organized, and help create a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.

What You'll Do

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service

• Help open, close, and balance the register as assigned

• Help sort, prepare, and move merchandise to the sales floor

• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day
• High school diploma or currently pursuing

Preferred

• Previous retail, cashier, customer service, or thrift store experience
• Experience using a point of sale system
