Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a part-time associate to support store operations by processing donations, maintaining the sales floor, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will handle donations, sort items, tag and display goods, and contribute to a positive shopping environment.

The role requires the ability to lift and move items, follow procedures, and work evenings/weekends as needed. Prior experience is not required and a background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; combination of education and work experience considered.
• No previous experience required.
• Criminal background check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect donations and assess marketability per Retail Operations Manual.
• Sort donations into store categories for use, salvage or trash.
• Tag donated items according to rotation system.
• Hang and arrange sorted goods for sales floor per productivity standards.
• Produce items daily to meet minimum standards.
• Adhere to uniform dress code.
• Demonstrate enthusiastic and positive attitude.
• Work as a team in a fast-paced environment and learn procedures quickly.
• Cross-train in multiple production and customer service roles.
• Adhere to asset protection and compliance procedures.
• Communicate effectively with customers, peers and management.
