Job Overview

As a Retail Merchandiser, you'll have the opportunity to work independently, showcasing your organization and time management skills, establishing retailer relationships, and being the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, as well as support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally, Hallmark may ask you to service another vendor's product in a store you are assigned to, in which case you will be provided with detailed instructions and additional budgeted time.

Salary and Shift Details

• Your starting pay will be up to $13.50 depending on your shift and location.
• This is a Part-Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
• Weekly hours are between 8-10 hours per week.
• Availability during the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.

Your Role and Responsibilities

You will perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The role includes three major components:

1. Day-to-day engagement: Responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores, restocking, organizing, and monitoring inventory using a mobile device, and communicating with your supervisor. Professional interaction with store staff and customers is essential.
2. Holiday support: Leading up to and following holidays like Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, with additional days and extended hours, possibly including working on the actual holiday.
3. Department Resets: Participating in installations and tasks like building fixtures, relocating departments, and resetting sections, often with two weeks' notice for remodels, which may include evenings or weekends.

Physical Requirements

This role is physically demanding, requiring high energy and urgency. You must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, and be able to stoop, squat, walk, stand, and climb stairs or ladders as needed.

Basic Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Capability to lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to operate hand-held technology to open and interpret documents.
• Access to Wi-Fi and internet.
• Reliable transportation to reporting locations.
