Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Lead Store Sales Associate at our Fort Wayne store. This part-time role supports the store management team and helps ensure smooth daily retail operations and excellent customer service in line with our mission.

The position requires a High School diploma, English proficiency, basic computer skills, and cash handling. Evening, weekend, and holiday work is required. Pay rate is $14.50 per hour for 25 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Ability to speak, write and understand English for effective communication.
• Basic computer skills including POS system and payroll program.
• Proficient cash handling and accurate change-giving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support management with product sales and acquisition.
• Implement store opening and closing procedures.
• Handle banking and daily deposits.
• Maintain displays and floor layout plans.
• Create an enjoyable shopping experience with positive customer service.
• Provide direction to staff in absence of management.
