Job summary

Dollar Tree in North Carolina is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help customers, process transactions, and keep the store inviting and well-stocked. You’ll assist shoppers with questions and recommendations while maintaining accuracy and safety at the register.

This role stresses teamwork, strong communication, and reliable attendance. A high school diploma is preferred, with prior retail experience valued; physical tasks include lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail or similar environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
