Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate in Lyndhurst, NJ, to deliver a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle cash transactions, stock shelves, unload merchandise, and keep the store clean and organized.

You’ll work with a team to ensure safety and exceptional service at all times. The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and restocking.
• Other duties as assigned.
